If you’re like me, it’s boring hearing 1 ½ years before the next presidential election an overwhelming news cycle on the topic. It’s important, and I vote. But come-on, this is getting to be a bit much over the last two presidential elections. Not only is it boring this far out from 2020. But this news cycle precedent can absolutely stifle your business. In 2014-2016 American businesses slowed down to a crawl as news media’s beat to death the future presidential election in 2016. The stress and lack of unknown factors given in the out-come of a major election can stifle not only the business itself. But also stress your customers and potential new customers.

To help with this issue of an over-stress and uncertain potential and current clientele. Add content to your website that is more relaxing. Eliminate strong ‘call to Actions’ on your website. Offer soothing content assuring your customers that you stand behind your product and or services. Assuring them in a creative diplomatic way, ‘you’ll do right by them’. Avoid terms that the politicians are using and coining. Examples: Free, Trust me, Trust Us, Let’s collaborate, Just released, New…, Rising star, The Best and so on…

Review your website content and make changes now. Otherwise you may start showing some negative year over year sales, as a result of all the News Media’s onslaught of 2020 coverage.

It’s just my opinion, and as always, If I can be of service, give me a call.
